The PhD Islamic Studies program aims to:

• Pursue professional practices in Islamic studies or advanced research based on the technical skills and knowledge in Islamic theology, jurisprudence, history, and supported disciplines.

• Encourage students to develop and use abstract models in addition to applying respective methodologies in practical and scholarly situations.

• Provide practical skills to the students to initiate their career in academic institutions, research organizations, and various organizations related to Islamic studies.

• Prove mastery of the Islamic studies knowledge and skills necessary to work as a professional Islamic scholar, by demonstrating an understanding of current Islamic models, interpretative techniques, and scholarly practices.

• Provide formal foundations for higher learning and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Islamic studies.
