PhD Islamic Studies Program Educational Objectives
The PhD Islamic Studies program aims to:
Pursue professional practices in Islamic studies or advanced research based on the technical skills and knowledge in Islamic theology, jurisprudence, history, and supported disciplines.
Encourage students to develop and use abstract models in addition to applying respective methodologies in practical and scholarly situations.
Provide practical skills to the students to initiate their career in academic institutions, research organizations, and various organizations related to Islamic studies.
Prove mastery of the Islamic studies knowledge and skills necessary to work as a professional Islamic scholar, by demonstrating an understanding of current Islamic models, interpretative techniques, and scholarly practices.
Provide formal foundations for higher learning and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Islamic studies.
