PhD Mathematics Program Educational Objectives
The PhD Mathematics program aims to:
Pursue professional practices in mathematics or advanced research based on the technical skills and knowledge in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, and supported disciplines.
Encourage students to develop and use abstract models in addition to applying respective methodologies in practical and scholarly situations.
Provide practical skills to the students to initiate their career in academic institutions, research organizations, industries, and various organizations related to mathematics.
Prove mastery of the mathematics knowledge and skills necessary to work as a professional mathematician, by demonstrating an understanding of current mathematical models, analytical techniques, and scholarly practices.
Provide formal foundations for higher learning and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of mathematics.
