PhD Mathematics Program Educational Objectives

The PhD Mathematics program aims to:

  • Pursue professional practices in mathematics or advanced research based on the technical skills and knowledge in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, and supported disciplines.

  • Encourage students to develop and use abstract models in addition to applying respective methodologies in practical and scholarly situations.

  • Provide practical skills to the students to initiate their career in academic institutions, research organizations, industries, and various organizations related to mathematics.

  • Prove mastery of the mathematics knowledge and skills necessary to work as a professional mathematician, by demonstrating an understanding of current mathematical models, analytical techniques, and scholarly practices.

  • Provide formal foundations for higher learning and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of mathematics.
