PhD Sociology Program Educational Objectives
The PhD Sociology program aims to:
Pursue professional practices in sociology or advanced research based on the technical skills and knowledge in social theories, research methodologies, social institutions, and supported disciplines.
Encourage students to develop and use abstract models in addition to applying respective methodologies in practical and scholarly situations.
Provide practical skills to the students to initiate their career in academic institutions, research organizations, and various organizations related to sociology.
Prove mastery of the sociology knowledge and skills necessary to work as a professional sociologist, by demonstrating an understanding of current sociological models, analytical techniques, and scholarly practices.
Provide formal foundations for higher learning and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of sociology.
